
Boston Mill (best known as Thompson’s Mill) is Oregon’s oldest continuously operating water powered mill. It is one of only give remaining grist mills in the state and one of only two still in operation.
The mill has had the following names over the years:

Thompson's Flouring Mills
Thompson's Mills State Heritage Site
The mill is located 1 1/2 miles east of Shedd on Boston Mill Drive. It is open to the general public on weekends from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Arrangements can be made for special tours with lead park ranger, Doug Crispin, by calling the mill at (541) 491-3611.
