The 2008 Brownsville’s downtown open house “Home for the Holidays” will be kicked off with a lighting ceremony Thursday, Dec. 4 in the evening. Some businesses will remain open until 8 p.m. both Thursday, Dec. 4 and Friday, Dec. 5.
Saturday, Dec. 6
On Saturday, Dec. 6, come stroll the sidewalks of historic downtown and enjoy the holiday season decorations. Merchants offer tasty samples of holiday fare and some offer special holiday prices. Carolers and musicians liven up the scene. Festival of Trees bidding begins Thursday evening and ends at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6.

Saturday, Dec. 13
Visitors will be able to take a Historic Homes and More Tour. Cost is only $5 per person and includes a chili feed at the Presbyterian Church. The Moyer House and Museum will also be on tour, bringing the total to seven stops. The Museum will only be available to tour until 5 p.m.
