The real estate market has collapsed. Pessimists say that the real estate market is still collapsing. It is certain that the Great Recession has not ended. People do not know what is ahead of them. Many people are looking to get out of expensive timeshares. People who sell timeshare often settle for lower prices simply to get out of a long term contract. The burst of the housing bubble has affected the prices of many vacation properties as well. People who buy time shares do not normally own the building. They simply pay for the time they use it.

The people who sell their timeshares simply are looking for a way to recoup some of their losses and save money. They may not be looking to make a profit, although they will not turn one down. The decreased desire to travel has also caused people to get out of timeshare arrangements.

The combination of these factors makes it a buyer’s market. A buyer can loo around to find the best price. He may even be able to offer a price that is lower than what the person who is selling the time share is asking for. The buyer may even be able to get the price that he wants but still needs to sign all the necessary agreements.
